Y’all. I have been MIA and for that I am sorry! 2018 has been filled with blog planning and rebranding (yay! Stay tuned for some fun changes!) plus Landon and I are deep in the house buying process, and my goodness is that a feat! We have some exciting changes for The Everyday Hostess this year, but we’ve needed some time to just take a breath and focus all our planning efforts.
During this exciting time, we have been very reflective of 2017. What an incredible year and one that will be hard to ever beat! Landon and I got married in June, both started new roles at work, started our new little Etsy shop and continued to grow The Everyday Hostess.
We are so grateful for each and every one of you following our journey and, of course, our favorite parties, so here’s a little recap of all the greatness 2017 had to offer!
Wedding Wednesdays
As we prepared for our wedding, we launched a new series called Wedding Wednesdays where we shared all our wedding planning tips and tricks we learned along the way. We covered a host of categories including:

Oscars Party
We celebrated the Oscars in style and were even featured on WFAA-TV sharing our favorite entertaining ideas!
Valentine’s Day
Valentine’s Day, of course, is always a favorite and we celebrated by creating this adorable dinner for two tablescape and this bar cart to enjoy with the gals!
Swoozie’s
We partnered with Swoozies this year and had so much fun sharing our favorite party ideas for all seasons! One of our favorite collaborations was our Easter party and Easter basket video we made!
IBB Design
We always love collaborating with IBB Design and are so honored to have been featured in their magazine IBB At Home three times now. If you haven’t checked out IBB Design before, please do so. Owner and Designer Shay Geyer is all our goals. Our favorite shoot for them this year was our Let’s Flamingle Party because let’s be honest, what’s a 2017 party without flamingos?!
The Holidays
The holidays are always our favorite time around here at The EH. So many fun gift guides this year and, of course, our annual Christmas tree collaboration with Holiday Warehouse was a huge success! This year we went for a wintry rustic chic theme that still has us swooning!

2017 was such an incredible year for us with so many new and exciting firsts. We started collaborating and partnering with many new companies and brands and cannot wait to continue working with them in 2018. 2018 is going to be a big year for us – we are excited for our new website, new branding, and, of course, getting to know you all better!
