Tablescapes

I love a good costume party as much as the next person and can’t wait to hand out candy to the kiddos (especially now that we are in our new home!), but I have to admit, Halloween isn’t my favorite holiday. Sometimes, I find that it’s hard to class up the ghouls, dragons, and witches look, but this I’ve been on a mission to find cute and trendy ways to bring Halloween into our home and I think this tablescape inspo does just the trick!

Check out all of our favorite Halloween tablescape decor above, or shop below, to bring a little extra somethin’ to your spooky and scary look this year!

Fall is finally here! There is something so refreshing with the start of fall. Maybe it’s the crisper air or the changing of the leaves or just the anticipation for the holidays. This is by far my favorite time of year and my absolute favorite season to decorate for.

This year’s tablescape will feature a classic fall color palette of winter whites, gold, maroon, and shades of orange and burgundy, which was inspired by my favorite Hot Skwash velvet pumpkin set. I’ve put together the perfect inspiration board that I will be using for my own table and can easily be replicated in your own home! This collection can easily be amended to suit any color palette with a simple swap of your napkins and Hot Skwash pumpkins!

Enjoy and happy decorating!

If you’re anything like my husband and me, you LOVE to escape a mild winter climate for some spring skiing! And, whether you’re looking for some après ski or taking a day off from the slopes, there’s no better way to enjoy quality time with your Mr. or Mrs. on the mountain than with this wintry picnic and a glass of Le Grand Courtage bubbly!

A little rustic flare beautifully complements our snowy backdrop. Who doesn’t like hammered copper? (It’s not just for Moscow mule mugs, folks!) The copper pitcher and vase blend with the earthy color palette of the tablecloth, napkins and chargers. And, oh my gosh, the geode napkin ring is the perfect pop of color to make your setting stand out!

Happy almost Thanksgiving! If you’re hosting this year, chances are that you already have your tablescape planned and designed (at least in your head!) and may be looking for that extra flair to give your table a truly festive feel!

I always love using our fine china we received at our wedding as the foundation of our holiday tablescapes and then adding holiday specific items to give it some extra pizzaz! For Thanksgiving, of course, that means lots of “Thankful,” “Grateful,” and “Gather” decor.  So i’ve shopped around for us all and gathered my favorite last minute holiday items to add to your Thanksgiving table this week! Enjoy!

As seen in IBB at Home Summer 2017

Summer is winding down, so it’s time to throw your final end-of-summer shin dig with the perfect themed dinner party! The rooftop or patio is calling for a stylish celebration, but no matter where you choose to host your party, you’ll be able to create the perfect summer setting with this year’s hottest trends! I’m in love with the flamingos, palm leaves and pineapples that are popular this season, and coupling them with a bold and chic color palette of hot pink, bright green and gold just screams summer. We’ve put together some tips and tricks to pull off this summer’s hottest party theme that will make a lasting impression on your guests!

Move over, flamingos and pineapples! There is a new player in town! Cactus and succulents are the new rage this summer and they are all over the party scene. And thanks to my friend Shelby with BerryPom and James, DFW’s newest online party goods and gift shop, your next cactus-centric celebration is at your fingertips too!I’m loving the cactus theme because it’s fun and summery, plus it brings in a natural feel to your party that is refreshing, light and airy. It’s also a great way to put a spin on a traditional fiesta so you can mix up the party style but still get to indulge in some tasty chips and guac!

BerryPom and James has a passion for party planning and has filled her shop with gifts and decor for all the cutest party trends, but her cactus decor is on point! From the plates and cups, to the balloons, to the candles, I can’t get over her adorable ode to the prickly plant!

To further help your party go off without a hitch, we’ve put together the perfect inspiration board to help guide you as you plan your next fiesta gathering!

You can also play with the color scheme a bit too! I personally love the bold greens and blues with pops of gold as shown in our inspo board, but you could also highlight the lighter greens and use more of a pastel palette and bring in light pinks (especially for a girl’s party)!

If you’re looking for some Thanksgiving tablescape inspiration, then go ahead and close all those Pinterest browsers because we have some fabulous inspiration for you right here! The Everyday Hostess Thanksgiving Table from the Iman Project 6 Bree from The Iman Project and I had so much fun styling this Chip and Joanna inspired Thanksgiving tablescape! Of course we are right there with the rest of America and love their modern farmhouse look, but we also wanted to add a vintage yet formal flare to our table this year.

With Bree’s homemade farm table, our antique place settings and couch, Coral Lane’s modern chairs, Root and Bloom’s natural garland, and the Paper and Taigh’s menus, this setting was the perfect marriage of the modern and vintage look we were going for.

One of my dear “Friendors” (Vendor friends 🙂 ) Lindsay with Lindsay Davenport Photography asked me to style her Fall appreciation shoot and brunch for her 2016 wedding couples, and, of course, I jumped all over it! Whenever I have the opportunity to work with a friend and design festive tablescapes, you can bet that I am all in (and immediately on Pinterest scanning for ideas!)! With just a little bit of brainstorming, our “We Love You a Brunch” event was born!

This party screamed “fall,” and I love it! The auburn based color palette complemented the earthy tones in the wooden tables and accents. And, let’s be real for a sec… you’re on the wrong site if you don’t want a touch of glam! The gold silverware and beaded chargers gave the pop the tablescape needed.

And oh my GOURD are these pumpkins not the perfect autumn accent?? With pumpkins on the tables and serving stations, Lindsay’s guests had to be getting that fall feeling (even if the air doesn’t feel like it down here).

Now how could I style a party without my new favorite fall trend!? These acrylic calligraphy signs by the very sweet Caddy Corner Designs and the illusion of the floating menu were the perfect bright and airy touch to the buffet! Plus they brought in a touch of modern flare that paired perfectly with the fall rustic vibe.

Agate and geode decor is one of the hottest design trends in homes and weddings this year, and it’s not hard to see why! Their vibrant hues and natural patterns are the perfect way to add a pop of color and texture to your modern and chic decor that will leave everyone swooning!

I’ve been eyeing this rockin’ trend for quite a while, so when I had the opportunity to work with the very talented Ashley Rutland Photography and style a geode styled wedding shoot, I jumped all over it!
