We are getting all ready for Thanksgiving over here in the Haaf household! This year we are hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our new home with my husband’s family and then hosting a sips and sweets open house for all our friends and family to join after everyone enjoys their feast (and watches the Cowboys game)!
Needless to say, the stress level is a bit high since this will be our first time hosting a holiday at our home – not to mention, our first time ever making a turkey! Therefore, we are in full practice and early set up mode to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible!
We’ve (hopefully) perfected our Big Green Egg turkey recipe (so grateful for weeks of practice -ha!) and now we are on to the set up and decoration aspect, which, of course, is my favorite!
For our tablescape this year, I wanted something festive that still coordinated with the style of our home. Therefore, I opted for a sophisticated yet traditional copper and gold theme, with hints of silver coming through in the flatware and serving pieces.
I started off with the centerpiece, which I just used some very simple large spray painted pumpkins (tutorial here) and paired them these gorgeous copper candleholders and some natural colored antlers. Our white beaded plates are highlighted by the glass gold beaded chargers, which we paired with my favorite copper hammered chargers to give it a more elevated and dynamic look. I absolutely love the way these two metallics work together to create a festive and glam look!
These adorable copper lined leaf place cards from My Minds Eye Paper Goods was the perfect final touch to add to each setting and pull the whole look together!
Simple, sophisticated, festive and glam! I’d say we’re ready to go! Next step…finalizing the pie recipes! Do y’all have any favorites that are must haves?!
